The Bendinat Group have always placed prime importance on pools and gardens, because this is what you will be looking at, enjoying and using, most of the time! The pool at Portocolom has 750m2 and a large sun terrace. Special trees imported from Italy, shaped like umbrellas will give natural shade in addition to the sun shades.
The gardens were designed by landscaped architects and are intended to be both beautiful and ecological. Water consumption is at a premium especially on an island, and so plants have been chosen that use minimal water, and local species have mostly been used.
The gardens are maturing well and most of the garden areas for the whole project have already been planted.
An ecological feature is the reed bed, a natural filtration system for used shower and washing machine water which provides extra purified water for the plants, saving costs and the environment.
